Key Responsibilities:
- Tailoring Services:
- Create, repair, and alter uniforms, linens, curtains, and other fabric items as required.
- Conduct fittings to ensure proper measurements and alterations for staff uniforms.
- Work with a variety of fabrics, including luxury and high-durability materials.
- Upholstery Services:
- Repair and reupholster furniture such as chairs, sofas, and headboards, ensuring they meet brand standards.
- Replace or restore fabric, padding, and other materials to maintain the property's aesthetic appeal.
- Maintenance and Quality Control:
- Inspect and assess upholstery, curtains, and soft furnishings for wear and damage.
- Ensure all items comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Collaboration:
- Coordinate with the housekeeping and engineering teams to manage repair schedules.
- Assist in planning and implementing upgrades to fabric-related furnishings across the property.
- Proven experience as a tailor or upholsterer in a luxury hotel or high-end establishment.
- Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, fabric types, and upholstery processes.
- Ability to use sewing machines, cutting tools, and upholstery equipment.
- Eye for detail, precision, and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Basic communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
