Technical Support Engineer

Job Description Ivy Resource Group are currently looking to hire a Technical Support Engineer to join one our clients on a permanent basis in Gloucestershire . The Company Our client is a contractor who predominately works in the Telecommunications sector, focusing on the Military, Government, Transport, and Utility Markets. What are we looking for?

1. Specialist knowledge in Optical Networks and associated hardware.
2. Familiar with a range of test equipment such as optical power meters & light sources, BERT's, cellular scanners, and multi-meters.
3. Familiar with Cellular RTE, Routing & Switching protocols, and network synchronization.
4. Able to conduct testing and produce full comprehensive test documentation/reports.
5. Experienced in fault finding.
6. The ability to manage the fault ticket process from beginning to end.
7. Ability to administer and run turnkey solutions.
8. Experience with remote network management.

Ideally, you should be educated to HNC level or above in a telecommunications field and be eligible for UKSC & NPPV3 clearances, with the availability to go into the field when required. 1. £33,000 to £44,000 dependent on experience.
2. Auto enrolment to Pension scheme after successful 6-month probation.
3. 20 days Annual Leave plus 8 days Bank Holiday.
4. 1-day extra Birthday Leave.
