Signaling Senior Engineer

Manage the Railway Signalling systems of all the Hafeet Rail network related activities and operations by monitoring Project delivery requirements including but not limited to the Signalling systems, Signalling systems interface between different contracts, testing and commissioning. Coordinate with PMEC and the respective contractors, while ensuring quality and safety standards are continuously adhered to.
Principal Accountabilities
- Responsible for the delivery of Signalling systems of the projects.
- Ensure that the Signalling system related activities are well coordinated between packages, monitored and progressing as per the overall project schedule to achieve the successful delivery and integration.
- Monitor the Contractor's activities progress and highlight any critical area that can impact the progress.
- Monitor that correct processes are being put in place and followed by the consultants/Contractors.
- Work on identifying solutions and processes to resolve any Signalling system related blocking issue.
- Assists the subsystems managers and the Systems & Rolling Stock Director in giving the progress and reporting on the Signalling system activities.
- Actively contribute to knowledge transfer with the possibility of coaching other engineers in the specific field.
- Providing support for the project activities and for any new project.
- Perform Spot checks on the field to ensure the highest safety and quality standards are being maintained by Engineer and Contractors staff.
- Report any risk that can potentially impact the project activities progress.
- Coordinate closely with the Engineer and Contractor to ensure project targets for Signalling systems are accounted for and met during the lifecycle of the project.
- Adapt to, and participate in, any programs/changes and strategy changes in project and perform impact analysis on the Signalling system activities to support the delivery.
- Coordinate with the operator to transfer any project related input.
- Monitor the delivery of Signalling systems documents and programmes for delivery of these documents.
- Produce technical reports when required.
- Adopt a progressive methodology by which the progress of Signalling system deliverables is reported on and reviewed with the Management.
- Review the Contractor's Signalling system deliverables and all updates for compliance against the company processes.
- Oversee technical authorizations pertaining to the signalling and train control systems and in charge of supervising the design, implementation and testing works managed by PMEC and delivered by the contractors and consultants, to ensure smooth and uninterrupted day to day operations, in line with established standards and protocols.
- Adhere to the applicable legislation and statutory requirements.
- Have an advisory role on issues related to Signalling systems, on issues related to assessments of Signalling systems and provide necessary guidance.
- Control the projects Signalling systems tasks during the project lifecycle in order to ensure that the network is operable and fit for purpose, that the network operation and functional requirements are fully delivered and realized, that risks to the employees and property are minimized.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Create and promote a continuous improvement approach.
- Provide assistance to Hafeet Rail's other business units on issues pertinent to job function; participate in performing audits and inspections to ensure the highest safety standards are being maintained if required.
- Cooperate with the company and co-workers to help everyone meet their legal and company requirements.
- Adapt to, and participate in, any programs/changes in Hafeet Rail including but not limited to strategic initiatives, operational initiatives and performance uplift tasks; conduct any relevant work that may result from these changes as an integral part of this job description and employment contract.
- Help support the organization in extraordinary events such as claims by contractors, dispute reviews and participation in arbitration.
- Perform any other activity as required by the company both at the company premises and remotely when requested by the company.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Academic Qualifications:
Degree in Electrical/Systems Engineering or relevant field.Experience:
