Senior Commercial Manager Somerset As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will be Supply Chain team responsible for supporting a Design, Manufacturing and Installation contract. You will interface on a daily basis with the Turbine Programme Delivery, Finance and Legal teams in addition to supporting the management of the relationship with the supplier. To ensure the performance of the contract is optimised from a cost, delivery and quality perspective strong relationship management with both the supplier and internal HPC stakeholders will be key. The role reports to Commercial Lead - Turbine within the Supply Chain directorate of the HPC project with the key responsibilities and accountabilities listed below. Role Responsibilities:
- Lead assigned elements of the commercial and contract management of the Turbine Programme (mainly Logistics/Care & Maintenance Turbine Contract).
- Lead contract management processes, including drafting and negotiation of contract variations, assessment and negotiation of claims.
- Build and maintain close working relationships with interfacing HPC projects to ensure that programme needs are met and/or impacts of other programme demands are known and mitigated.
- Administer contracts through their lifecycle, utilising the CEMAR contract management tool.
- Ensure adherence to HPC’s governance, processes, and procedures.
- Foster high-performing supplier relationship management with a collaborative culture.
- Transfer key operational expertise from Hinkley Point C to SZC.
- Line management and development of Commercial Manager
- Proven track record in successful contract administration of a large infrastructure project or similar
- Excellent leadership and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
- Experience in a regulated environment and procurement processes.
- Experience with FIDIC, professional chartership (RICS, MCIPS).
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
