We pride ourselves on delivering top-notch entertainment, news, and local content to our listeners. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Business Development Executive to join our team. Join one of Ireland’s most dynamic and successful local radio businesses! Cork’s 96FM & C103, operating from Broadcasting House in Cork City, along with its sister station Live95 in Limerick, Ireland’s biggest and most successful local radio businesses. Cork’s 96FM is the home of Lorraine & Ross in the Morning and The Opinion Line. C103 plays Cork’s Greatest Hits from studios in Mallow and Bandon. Both brands attract almost a quarter of a million adult listeners across Cork City and County each week. Live95 is the Market Leading Radio Station in Limerick City and County with almost 100,000 people tuning in each week. Role Overview: The Senior Business Development Executive will be responsible for creating new revenue streams, monetising existing assets, and establishing new business partnerships across both Cork and Limerick sites. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for media and a proven track record in senior sales and business development roles. You will play a crucial role in identifying and exploiting new business opportunities across all our platforms – on air, on street, and online. Day to day you will:
- Identify and develop new revenue opportunities for the radio stations.
- Monetise existing assets to maximise profitability.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing business partners.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed targets.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to create compelling sales propositions.
- Prepare and present detailed sales proposals and reports to senior management.
- Mentor and guide junior sales team members.
- Attend industry events and networking opportunities to promote the radio stations.
- Extensive experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably within the media industry.
- Strong understanding of the radio and media landscape in Ireland.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic sales initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with digital marketing and social media platforms is a plus.
- Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel between Cork and Limerick.
