Job Description:

Our client, one of Ireland's leading financial services providers, are looking for a newly/recently qualified Tax Specialist to join their Group Tax Team, where your expertise will drive compliance, innovation, and support across all areas of taxation. Reporting to the Group Tax Senior Manager, you will be responsible for preparing and/or reviewing tax returns, preparing/reviewing tax workings for monthly/annual/regulatory reporting, providing technical tax advice to business units on specific projects, and interacting with other stakeholders on tax related issues. This is a 12-month FTC role, offering a competitive salary. With offices based in Dublin 2, they are operating with a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, coordinate, and review key tax returns, including VAT, DIRT, Stamp Duty, and Corporation Tax.
  • Provide tax technical advice to business units and support the Property Management team on tax-specific queries (e.g., CGT/VAT on property sales).
  • Work on improving tax processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and timely execution of deliverables.
  • Support the calculation of taxes for rental income under Section 96(3) TCA 1997.
  • Manage and mentor a Group Tax trainee while collaborating with the wider team to meet internal and external deadlines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) and/or CTA qualification.
  • 4+ years of experience in a tax environment (practice or industry).
  • Strong written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
