Job Title: Depot Manager Location: Dublin 15 Job Summary: Our client, a leading Irish Wholesale Food Supplier, is hiring a Depot Manager to join their team in Dublin 15. The Depot Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, managing warehouse staff, implementing inventory control systems, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Warehouse Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Staff Supervision & Training: Manage a team of warehouse employees. Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
  3. Inventory Control: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock audits to ensure the correct quantity of goods is available. Implement strategies to optimise inventory turnover and minimise waste or damage.
  4. Safety & Compliance: Ensure the warehouse complies with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Enforce safe working practices and conduct regular safety audits and training.
  5. Process Optimisation: Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes.
  6. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products are stored and handled in accordance with quality control standards. Oversee the inspection and condition checks of incoming and outgoing goods.
  7. Logistics Coordination: Work closely with logistics and transportation teams to coordinate the smooth flow of goods in and out of the warehouse, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups.
  8. Reporting: Generate regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, order fulfilment, and staff productivity. Use data to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-making.
Key Requirements:
  1. 3+ years strong experience in a similar role is essential in warehouse operations.
  2. Strong leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  3. In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, warehouse procedures, and best practices.
  4. End-to-end supply chain understanding.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office & warehouse management software and inventory software.
  7. A degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred.
