As a Staff Engineer, you will be a leader within the team and a strong contributor to the engineering organization. You will build both back-end and front-end systems, and work closely with designers, product managers, researchers, and data analysts. You will coach and mentor other engineers and partner closely with the Engineering Manager to develop the team and devise technical strategy. What will I be doing?

1. Contribute to our technical architecture as we grow to service requests from all our customers’ customers.
2. Care about agility as much as scalability and availability. Continuous deployment keeps us focused on incremental releases.
3. Contribute to all phases of software development including ideation, prototyping, design, and implementation.
4. Play an active role in hiring, mentoring, and career development of other engineers.
5. Raise the bar for technical standards, performance, reliability, and operational excellence.

What skills do I need?

1. Experience building a SaaS product and understanding its global impact.
2. Demonstrated impact that your work has had on the product and/or the teams.
3. Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language (e.g., Ruby, Python, Perl) and the ability to learn quickly.
4. Experience with Distributed systems.
5. 2+ years of experience as the primary technical leader for a team.
6. Experience collaborating directly with product teams and designers, delivering value to customers.
