Senior Data Architect

Senior Data Architect If selected, you will be required to work on a full-time basis on-site or remotely (as required) with our client in Central Dublin. Estimated Start October. Our client in the government sector is seeking to establish a multi-year contract for a Data Architect . They engage with the business on the design, development, procurement, and deployment of new and replacement systems. The Data Architect will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing technology solutions that align with an organization’s overall business strategy. One of the primary duties involves analysing and understanding the business requirements and translating them into comprehensive technical specifications. This requires a deep understanding of both current and emerging technologies, as well as a keen awareness of the organization’s goals and objectives. These resources will be responsible for creating a holistic view of the IT infrastructure, considering factors such as scalability, security, and interoperability. Furthermore, these resources will be tasked with developing and maintaining architecture blueprints and documentation that serve as a reference for various stakeholders. This documentation includes system diagrams, data models, and integration specifications, providing a clear roadmap for the implementation of IT solutions. Collaboration with other IT professionals, such as developers, system administrators, and project managers, is a crucial aspect of the role. They must ensure effective communication between different teams to guarantee the successful integration of technology solutions and the delivery of projects on time and within budget. Minimum & Mandatory Requirements

• Proven experience (7 years) as a Data/Applications Architect, demonstrating a successful track record of aligning IT strategies with business objectives.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies and microservices .
• Applied the technical skillsets and competencies as the primary part of their role, within the last 1 year .
• You must have at a minimum, qualifications in a relevant field which is equivalent to European EQF level 7 .
• You must be fluent in the English language.

• Understanding of data architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman ).
• Applying architecture principles to design scalable and flexible data architectures .
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI ).
• Experience with cloud-based data services (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery ).
• Designing data architectures for cloud environments .
• Managing metadata to provide context and lineage for data assets.
• Understanding business intelligence concepts and tools .
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams for data-driven decision making .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills .
• Proficiency in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling.
• Experience with entity-relationship diagrams, data flow diagrams, and other modelling techniques.
• Understanding of database architecture, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience in integrating data from disparate sources.
• Knowledge of data security principles and best practices.
• Understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Ensuring compliance with data regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Implementing access controls, encryption, and data masking techniques.
• Experience in implementing master data management solutions.
