Site Civil Engineer

Four Square Contracting Services Co. is a Civil, Interior, Electrical, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, and Mechanical Contractor based in Manama, Bahrain. Established in 2004, the company has extensive expertise in various types of works including civil, interior, electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, mechanical, and fabrication. Holding licenses for electrical installations and fire alarm systems, the company prides itself on its skilled manpower and quality of work. Role Description Execute the construction activities of the project, from initiation to closeout ensuring the adherence to project schedule, specifications and drawings. Responsibilities

1. Plan the project execution, prepare detailed look ahead schedules based on project schedule, in coordination with Project Manager.
2. Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants and Project team for the preparation, and submission of method statements of various construction activities.
3. Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants and Project team for the preparation, and submission of work notifications of various construction activities as per the schedule requirement.
4. Conduct site surveillance; liaise with subcontractors for the work progress. Verify/analyze the resource adequacy/requirement for achieving the schedule. Implement corrective actions for any variations from the plan and verify the effectiveness.
5. Coordinate with QA QC team and conduct internal material inspections to ensure compliance to specifications.
6. Conduct work inspections to ensure compliance to drawings and specifications and raise work inspection requests to QA QC department.
7. Coordinate/ liaise with subcontractors for completing the consultant’s inspection comments, corrective actions for the NCRs and deficiencies recorded by the QA QC team within the agreed time.
8. Provide accurate project progress status to Project Manager daily.
9. Ensure the implementation of Project HSE program and safe work practices in the project.
10. Conduct internal snagging; liaise with subcontractor to close all the snags identified by the Project team and consultants.
11. Coordinate/ liaise with subcontractors, Project team and consultants for the testing and commissioning activities of the project.

1. Ability to work on site and manage construction projects.
2. Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
5. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
6. More than 2 years experience in construction field.
