About the role We are looking for a Back Office Analyst who will form an integral part of the trading floor. You will be responsible for supporting our rapidly expanding business and key responsibilities include deal confirmations, trade reconciliation and settlements, and P&L calculation. You will also be responsible for monitoring margins and collaterals, working alongside finance. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of energy market dynamics, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The role is key for ensuring the commerciality of deals transacted by Front Office teams and acting as a quality check during the trade lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:

Daily Trades Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation of trades for various commodity classes, ensuring accuracy and completeness in trades data within the company system.
Daily P&L Reporting: Calculate and report daily profit and loss for trading portfolios, identifying and investigating any discrepancies.
Confirmation and Settlements: Coordinate with counterparties and internal stakeholders to confirm trades and settle transactions in a timely manner.
Collateral Management: Monitor and manage collateral requirements for trades, optimizing collateral usage and ensuring compliance with risk management policies.
Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to enhance back-office processes and systems, contributing to efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
2 years of experience in back office or trading operations role within the Energy Industry.
Knowledge of energy trading contracts and pricing mechanisms.
Proficiency in PowerBI and Excel. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and VBA is a plus.
Experience with trading and risk management systems (ETRM) is preferred.
