Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for the position include:
  • Assist with engineering calculations using computer-based technical tools;
  • Technical writing of reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;
  • Data input and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;
  • Follow instructions and interact with engineers, office administrative staff, CADD operators (draftsmen), contractors, and construction personnel;
  • Developing construction documents;
  • Writing and reviewing engineering reports.

Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in civil and/or structural engineering. (required)
  • Advanced degree in civil and/or structural engineering. (preferred)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Prior internship or work experience in engineering consulting. (preferred)
  • Experience with engineering structural analysis software such as AUTOCAD, SAP2000, HILTI, ALLPILE, STAAD Pro, MATLab, SWAN, SBEACH, MIKE21, and Plaxis. (2D/3D) (preferred)
  • Familiarity and experience on coastal and waterfront projects. (preferred)
