We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shop Keeper who will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of the hardware shop, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving sales. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist them in finding the products they need.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop floor, ensuring products are properly displayed and labelled
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for replenishment as needed
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries and addressing any concerns or complaints
- Keep track of sales and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and negotiate favourable terms
- Train and supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed
- Stay updated on industry trends and new product offerings to better assist customers
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
- Previous experience working as a Shop Keeper in a hardware shop in Dubai/UAE is essential
- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and driving sales
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in operating cash registers and basic computer skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash transactions and maintaining inventory records.
- Knowledge of hardware products and materials is preferred
