URGENT HIRING: A leading Cigarette Manufacturer in UAE urgently requires an experienced LOGISTICS Officer who can join immediately. Preferred candidates should have experience and be located in the UAE only. Role Description:- Organise transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary.
- Coordinate and track movement of goods through logistic pathways.
- Execute logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule.
- Review freight rates and other transportation costs to keep working costs low.
- Maintain quality throughout the logistic processes.
- High school diploma or higher.
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience in logistics operations.
- 3+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory management, and import/export operations experience.
- Experience filing International Maritime Organization (IMO), Automated Export System (AES), and Importer Security Filing (ISF) documents.
- Proven record processing shipments in accordance with DOT regulations and hazardous material labeling requirements.
- Basic proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Google Docs, Sheets.
- Knowledge of 49 CFR, 15 CFR, Department of Transportation (DOT), International Air Transport Association (IATA), and International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) regulations preferred.
- Prior global shipping management/customs clearance experience is highly desirable.
