The Staff Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care related activities to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care at the respective clinical areas. The incumbent will be required to provide high quality patient care in various disciplines by performing clinical procedures that will meet the patients' immediate physical and emotional needs. The Staff Nurse will assist the Nurse Manager/Nurse Clinician in coordinating, implementing and monitoring clinical and service quality performance indicators for continuous improvement, clinical excellence, operational, financial and service quality. Responsibilities: Utilize clinical judgment, critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the delivery of patient care. Integrate established and new operational policies and procedures into nursing practice. Assist Surgeons/Physicians on patient rounds during treatment/procedures and examination of patient. Update the Principal Doctor about patient’s condition and response to the surgical/medical intervention. Follow through with doctor’s orders and report promptly any significant changes in patient’s condition using the SBAR method to the appropriate doctor. Provide patient education and participate in patient’s rehabilitation, involving the patient’s family members as necessary. Record and maintain proper, timely and accurate documentation of patient’s progress and management in appropriate documents or charts. Provide guidance when necessary, to subordinates in all direct and indirect patient care activities, including compliance to infection control practices. Exercise economy and care in the use of resources, including equipment and supplies. Ensure accurate billing of charges. Maintain professional growth and development through the ongoing process of formal and informal education. Participate in Hospital and Nursing committee when assigned. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care. Exhibit professional behavior to enhance quality service in compliance with Crawfurd Core Values. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager and Nurse Clinician. Qualifications/Requirements: Possess at least a Diploma in Nursing. Must be registered with Singapore Nursing Board with valid nursing practicing license. Valid Certification in BCLS & AED. Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills. Friendly disposition and service oriented. Good working attitude and aptitude. Required to work on 12 hours rotating shifts that include night shift, weekends and public holidays.
