It shall report directly to the Finance Shared Services Centre Manager. This position shall be primarily responsible for the management and reporting of financial data of the Company. - Post purchase invoices, employee expense claims, and liaise with ancillary departments to ensure that relevant approvals are obtained per the workflow.
- Update banks and prepare bank reconciliation statements.
- Post sales invoices and control the settlements with customers.
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions by ensuring the accounting treatment of an entity's transactions.
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status as per the business requirements.
- Prepare periodic reconciliations of intercompany balances and vendor/customer balances.
- Assistance with the closing of the periodic accounts and associated analysis and summary documents; ensure the reliability of monthly accounts in accordance with IFRS and the annual accounts in accordance with local standards and the responsibility for the financial data obtained.
- Ensure compliance with accounting and financial procedures and internal control rules defined by the Group.
- Liaise with other transverse financial functions.
- Support with the annual audit of the books of account.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the performance of accounting and financial processes with regard to the accounting and financial information systems implemented.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with at least 1 or 2 years of work experience in accounting with thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
- 2-3 years sector experience in construction engineering or global multinational or similar highly preferred.
- Proven financial analysis skills experience with month-end review and analysis of P&L and BS.
- Experience with budgeting and cash forecasts and creating financial statements.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Excellent accounting software and Excel/Google sheet user and administration skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail with high focus on suppliers payments.
- Good knowledge and practice of accounting and financial techniques (IFRS standards and local accounting and tax rules).
- Good knowledge of accounting and financial processes for both internal control and procedural efficiency.
- Good knowledge of accounting and financial information systems.
- Ability to organize and plan the process of periodic account closing and meet accounting and tax deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: Accountants need to be meticulous in their work as they deal with numbers, financial data, and complex calculations.
- Analytical Skills: They should possess strong analytical abilities to interpret financial information, identify trends, and solve problems.
