Specialist Smart Field

Job Responsibilities

1. Reviews and supports for deploy "fit for purpose" technologies to support the Smart Fields programme.
2. Reviews pre-conceptual design of integrated control and safety systems for new field development projects to enable targeted operation philosophy and fulfil the corporate automation objective that falls under the Smart Fields domain.
3. Reviews conceptual design for remote monitoring and control systems for field upgrade projects and existing field facilities in coordination with Operations and Field Development.
4. Provides expert advice on corporate strategy implementation for voice, data and video services in line with Smart Field programme requirements.
5. Coordinates and participates in review FEED/EPC deliverables on telecommunication and control system architecture and automation & control philosophy for both new projects and existing upgrade projects to check compliance with main automation and Smart Fields requirements.
6. Attends design review meetings with Engineering and EPC Contractors to check compliance with main Smart Fields requirements.
7. Develops Smart Fields requirements guidelines for specification and selection of process integrated control and safety systems for field development.
8. Prepares blueprints, drawings, layouts and other visual aids to address requirements and indicate progress to management.
9. Participates in the scope of work reviews to ensure technical requirements and applicable policies and procedures are aligned in all phases of the project.
10. Participates in technical evaluation of bids and provides construction input when required.
11. Participates in the review of project planning packages and provides inputs to the planning engineer on the area of improvement, major risks and shortfalls in the schedule.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.

• 8 years of experience in a similar position within Oil & Gas project construction.
