About the job GROUP DIRECTOR, AUDIENCE, MEASUREMENT AND ANALYTICS Havas Media Group North America, the Media Experience agency, has an immediate position available for a Group Director to join the AMA (Audience, Measurement and Analytics) Team in Toronto as part of our global community of 10,000 team members who are focused on using Meaningful Media to make a meaningful difference to brands, businesses, and people. Our AMA team delivers market leading actionable and impactful insights to solve client business problems and power media experiences. This team is accountable for infusing data, tech and measurement into each stage of the Media Experience process covering audience intelligence and design, competitive reporting, data interrogation, and campaign & measurement design. This role is responsible for leading, developing and managing all aspects of the in-depth competitive, consumer and campaign insights that solve our client’s their business needs. In addition to providing meaningful intelligence to our clients – this person is a dynamic storyteller who is grounded by an extensive background in data, insights and analytics. This role would report directly to senior leadership and includes direct management of the AMA team. Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary voice of AMA for all clients and agency new business pitches/
- Lead client teams, strategy teams, and new business initiatives by providing comprehensive business, consumer, and competitive insights.
- Oversee the analysis and interpretation of data to extract actionable insights that address client needs effectively.
- Ensure the team is proficient in a variety of research tools through cross-training and continuous development.
- Drive the creation and dissemination of thought leadership pieces, offering both internal and external clients a strategic perspective on the media landscape.
- Oversee the development and implementation of robust media measurement strategies for digital and offline campaigns, incorporating appropriate testing methodologies in collaboration with clients and agency partners.
- Partner with internal investment and planning teams to innovate new analysis techniques and cross-media reporting.
- Act as a SR client-facing lead in the presentation of business intelligence and strategic measurement recommendations and detailed campaign results, ensuring clarity and actionable outcomes.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in relevant markets, client industries, and consumer segments.
- Manage and mentor a team of Managers, Analysts, and Specialists, fostering their business intelligence and analytical skills to support their career development.
- 7-10+ years of experience in media, analytics, or business intelligence with progressive levels of responsibility; agency experience is preferred.
- Experience leading, managing and a building a team including project pipeline management.
- Has worked in the research/insights space for many years and has a deep knowledge of the industry, tools, data sources, and key partners. Excellent understanding of the online and offline advertising ecosystems and media metrics.
- Experience driving excellence in client deliverables and setting best practices across a group, including productization of agency deliverables.
- Practical skills in measuring advertising and communications impact on brands (both brand health, media performance, and business results) is strongly preferred.
- Experience in leveraging the following tools, data sources, and methodologies: Ad Spend Monitoring tools (e.G., Vivvix), Quantitative Marketing Research Studies methodology and cross-tab tools (e.G., U&A, BHT, Syndicated studies like Vividata, cross-tab tools like Telmar), Social Listening tools (e.G., Brandwatch), Advanced skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerBI, Google Analytics, Prizm/MediaOcean, Digital Campaign Planning and Reporting platforms, Project management platforms
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams and team members to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, written, and communication skills.
