We are looking for a Java developer for one of our clients, an investment bank set in Montreal Role Overview : The team develops software solutions for major financial markets in the Americas, Asia, and Europe. The solutions that are developed by the team must be competitive to develop or consolidate the compagny’s market share, launch new products, and seize opportunities. The team is responsible Trading System application The team works with Java, springboot, Jenkins, SQL, SQL Server, Docker and Kubernetes Key responsibilities: The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to : Study, analyze and estimate user stories.
- Drive toward tech/non-tech solutions, assess either tactical or strategic approaches, assess timeframe of solution(s).
- Coordinating with business analysts and end users in understanding development needs and acquire signoffs.
- Develop code artifacts, deployment plans, technical upgrades in compliance with development standards.
- Coordinate with users to produce comprehensive test plan and develop user signoff criteria. Hands-on involvement in analysis and documentation of testing results and review with end-users.
- Participate in large software implementations covering quarterly upgrades and new functionality deployment
- Develop/Implement internal user reports and extracts upon requests
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- 3+ years using Java
- Ability to work with complex information systems
- Collaborative skills and Team oriented
- Sense of organization, methodical, analytical
- Communication skills
- Experience in finance is a real asset.
- Knowledge of the market finance universe (equity markets, interest rates, derivatives, etc.)
- Architecture skills is an asset for the role
- Knowledge on Azure
