Aligned Capital Partners Inc. (ACPI) is a fast-growing investment dealer looking to expand our Unified Managed Accounts (UMA) team. The UMA Platform provides direct access to some of the top asset managers in the world in a single platform with a wide range of investment vehicles. Reporting to the Director, this role will support the securities trading, portfolio modelling, reporting and operational functions of the program. What You Will Do: Trading:
- Help support the core trading and portfolio modeling responsibilities. You will interpret and execute trade instructions provided by ACPI Portfolio Managers, Third Party Sub-Advisors and ACPI Investment Advisors under the UMA/IFM Platform.
- Order entry for stock, mutual funds, and fixed income securities.
- Collaborate with the team, internal and external partners to identify and resolve reconciliation issues. You should be comfortable multi-tasking, while completing work with a high attention to detail. Troubleshoot and resolve custodial and trading queries. Anticipate and avoid potential issues to mitigate risk.
- Articulate your Broker-Dealer and/or Investment Management operations knowledge to help facilitate the rapid growth of our platform. Experience using portfolio management systems or investment book of record technologies would be an asset.
- You should understand financial markets, asset management and complex investment strategies. Assist with development, review, and maintenance of processes and procedures on the UMA/IFM platform.
- Manage and participate in ad-hoc projects as needed
- Engage with Investment Advisors and Portfolio Managers in a meaningful way to help support their book of business. This includes the facilitation and triage of issues related to their advisory practice on the UMA/IFM platform. We have a wide variety of offerings, and the incumbent should have in-depth knowledge of wealth management solutions.
- Work with Investment Advisors and their teams to understand and incorporate the UMA/IFM platform within their practice. Provide operational guidance on model creation.
- Bachelor degree or relevant work experience in finance, or related fields.

- Strong skills working with business applications/technology, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Completion or enrolled in investment industry courses such as, Canadian Securities Course (CSC), & Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) is an asset
