In 2011, it was awarded a section of the Toronto-York Spadina Subway extension, the first modern subway infrastructure project in the city. This project was completed in 2018. FCC Construcción Canadá has won a new contract to deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line, together with the GO Rail Expansion-On Corridor Project and the Scarborough Subway Extension Stations, Rail and Systems Project reinforces FCC Construcción’s presence in the Canadian market. Project Opportunity We are looking for an experienced BIM Manager to join our FCC Canada team to be assigned to the ONxpress Project. Reports to: IDD Director The BIM Manager's key responsibilities are:

  • Be accountable for ensuring BIM, GIS, and digital construction across project disciplines (Design, estimating, planning, construction) meets standards and contractual compliance.
  • Ensure delivery of BIM and GIS in accordance with IDD BIM related processes and procedures and support the IDD/BIM Lead with the future developments.
  • Ensure the right resourcing profile for the IDD teams on the project, based on the BIM goals set in the bid phase.
  • The role will support the link between the Client’s BIM representatives, the consultant BIM team, any JV partner and any sub-contractors BIM team. The role will support the project to enable BIM outcomes to ensure the information is delivered to the program and coordinated between engineering disciplines, organizations, and packages.
  • Ensure the BIM requirements set on the project support digital integrating across all project functions
Education and Qualifications
  • 8 years involvement in IDD implementation in large rail infrastructure construction projects. Preference given to experience in complex P3 transit projects.
  • University degree in civil engineering or technologist certificate.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality and document management processes.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D, Dynamo, AutoCAD, Microsoft suite
  • Proficiency in 4D platforms such as Navisworks simulate and Synchro.
  • Proficiency in 5D QTO and Cost assignment tolls would be desirable.
Job Requirements
  • Support Project Implementation of the BIM process and procedures, including development of Pre and Post contract BIM and GIS Execution Plan’s.
  • Management through contract obligations of consultant and supply chain Information Models and Delivery Plans to support the development of federated models and against agreed deliverables to ensure supply chain BIM deliverables align with the IDD Information Requirements and ‘Employers Information Requirements’.
  • Reporting and management of interfaces between engineering disciplines/design and construction / temporary and permanent works design activities, through BIM to support the IDD process.
