Area Sales Manager Established over 25 years ago, our clients is a leading manufacturer of outdoor sports & leisure equipment, working with local authorities, architects, holiday parks and leisure businesses. They are looking for an Area Sales Manager to oversee a set of existing accounts across the southeast of England as well as identify & prospect new business opportunities across the patch. They pride themselves on their innovative & creative approach with their clients and their product offering; this is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with their enterprise-level accounts, gaining an understanding of their needs and delivering top-quality services & solutions. This is a field based position, meeting clients on a face-to-face basis. Responsibilities
- Identify & prospect new sales opportunities across the designated territory
- Schedule & attend face-to-face client meetings
- Build & maintain strong client relationships
- Qualify new tenders and projects
- Create & deliver high-level pitches & presentations for both prospective and existing clients
- Manage long-term sales pipeline
- Conduct site surveys & prepare quotes
- Attend industry events
- Maintain up to date knowledge of competitor activity & industry trends
- 2-3 years field sales experience
- Experience selling outdoor play equipment, leisure equipment or sports equipment is ideal
- Working with clients across the leisure sector, architecture, local authorities / local councils and holiday parks is ideal
- Candidates with a background in furniture or fitness/gym equipment sales are also encouraged to apply
- Technical experience in conducting site surveys would be a plus
- Based in the southeast of England (London, Essex, Kent, Surrey or Hampshire)
- Basic salary: £40,000-50,000
- OTE: £90,000
