Job Title: Senior .NET Developer (SBSD) Direct Report: Development Team Lead/Manager/Head of Development Location: Toronto Job Purpose: The Senior .NET Developer for SBSD will be responsible for designing and developing business components and services in line with business requirements and technical specifications. They will be actively engaged in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, research, initial configuration, setup, design, documentation, testing, debugging, updates, ongoing support, integration, maintenance and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable back-end systems using Microsoft .NET.
  • Analyze user requirements and build systems according to business specifications.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline development processes.
  • Collaborate closely with other developers and staff, including project managers and the quality assurance team.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to intermediate and junior developers.
  • Participate in code and design reviews to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of the systems.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
  • Stay current with new technology trends, including cloud technologies.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues using alerts, dashboards, and log analysis.
  • Other tasks might be assigned as needed.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience in Microsoft Net.
  • Extensive experience in design/development of highly scalable and high-performance distributed systems.
  • Proven experience with message-oriented middleware systems such as RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with AKKA.Net.
  • Experience with Redis.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure is a plus.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Blazor is is a plus.
  • Experience with test automation.
