Play On Pediatric Therapy is a multidisciplinary pediatric clinic in Barrhaven, Ottawa. The thriving local community has thousands of children who need our help. As such, we are growing, and are looking for amazing therapists who have a passion for working with and helping the pediatric population (from 0-18). We are currently looking to add to our team of talented and highly motivated junior and experienced therapists who will help us achieve our mission of supporting and empowering kids toward their pursuit of healthy movement and optimal function. The 3000 sq. ft. clinic is filled with natural light, has 8 private assessment/treatment rooms, a spacious reception area, and a welcoming staff room. The most exciting part of our clinic is our 1000 sq. ft. ‘Super Special Fun Gym’ which has lots of equipment and tools for treating kids including: a climbing wall, swings, ropes, balls, mats, climbers, steps, toys, and more. We are looking for an experienced occupational therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario to join our team in a full time capacity. This will be a position for offering in clinic appointments, and also in-home assessments and treatments. We offer:- Competitive remuneration package and incentive options

- Registered to practice occupational therapy in Ontario and registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Knack for and interest in working with toddlers and younger children
- Maintain appropriate liability insurance

- Able to perform clinical assessments and create and implement treatment plans including ongoing evaluation and documentation
- A team player, willing to work collaboratively, both internally with our clinic team and externally with other healthcare providers, insurers and referral sources
- Understand the roles and scopes of other clinicians within and outside the clinic to appropriately refer clients as needed to ensure the best care possible
- Possess strong leadership skills, communication skills, business acumen and professionalism
- Interested in working with an OTA to delegate on-going treatments to (as appropriate)
- Possess excellent time management, planning and organizational skills
- Hard-working, focused, self-motivated and accountable
- Minimum one evening and weekend shift
- Dedicated to professional development, focused on your career path and willing to make it a top priority
- Participate in regularly scheduled practitioner development meetings and staff meetings
- Prepare and run small group classes and presentations
- Preferably have experience in pediatrics (previous employment, placement experience or other) or have taken additional continuing education in pediatrics
- Preferably at 1 - 5 years of experience in occupational therapy with specialty working with pediatric population
- Preferably experience and training to support kids with feeding challenges
- Assist in community outreach programming
- Since potential for commuting to and from client’s homes required - need a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
