ROK’s growing team has an opening for a permanent full-time Junior Landman to join our Calgary office. The candidate will preferably have experience with mineral rights and contract negotiations in Alberta and Saskatchewan. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Execute business strategies and negotiate and draft a variety of agreements, including Freehold mineral leases.
- Compile information on industry and provide sound recommendations to management and technical teams.
- Provide support to technical teams to maximize commercial value from assets.
- Manage existing asset base including, but not limited to, the review of expiries.
- Provide support to potential A&D.
- Reporting to Senior Vice President, Land & Business Development. Ideal applicant will have:
- Relevant Degree/Diploma or Certificate in a recognized Land program, and/or minimum 1 year of mineral land experience.
- Strong initiative.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Working knowledge of Accumap and Saskatchewan and Alberta Land Titles.
- An understanding of mineral tenure and government regulations related to both Crown and Freehold land ownership and registrations.
- Ability to adapt to ever changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work in Canada. What we can offer:
