About the Company - Universal Precision Technology is a well-established organization that specializes in the manufacturing of precision components and sub-assemblies for the aerospace, aircraft, military, medical, optical and defense sectors. We are looking to increase our diverse and dynamic team with the addition accomplished individual. About the Role - Reporting to President, the successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate excellent working knowledge of quality systems and leading a team; Possess and effectivelyapply intellect, judgment and management skills to achieve desired business performance results; Coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner; Follow and comply with all AS9100 / ISO 9001: 2015 manufacturing and quality standards, regulations, legislative and customer requirements to ensure the high standards are maintained; Partake in audits of quality, sales, production and administration to drive process standardization and continuous improvement; Review production / quality trends, communicate and make recommendations to president and initiate cost-effective actions; Manage staffing demandsfor performance appraisals and resolve employee relation issues / conflicts; Oversee the scheduling and completion of preventative maintenance tasks; Abide with instructions, regulations and safety policies; Perform other duties asinstructed or required to successfully complete the job Responsibilities

  • Minimum 5 years experience in the manufacturing management sector;
  • Bachelor’s degree in production management, business administration, or mechanical engineering;
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate others;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Highly effective communication skills both written and verbal;
  • Ability and willingness to implement a culture around Lean / Six Sigma initiatives;
  • The proven ability to meet deadlines while under pressure and effectively handle a wide variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment;
  • This individualis required to have strong computer skills with the ability to use various computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc;
  • Knowledge of CNC machining and tooling design is an asset
  • Basic security clearance (Controlled Goods Program);
  • Own steel toe safety shoes
