Natural Forces is seeking a candidate to fill a Project Analyst role to support our team members. This is a full-time position based at our head office in downtown Halifax working closely with project managers, the finance team and general counsel to ensure seamless project execution. The primary responsibilities are:
- Data analysis and reporting
- Budget development, management and cost control
- Commercial project operations
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support project budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
- Monitor project expenses and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to secure project funding and manage financial reporting requirements.
- Oversee the application, tracking, and compliance of ITC credits for eligible projects.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations and ensure all documentation aligns with tax credit requirements.
- Liaise with tax advisors and auditors to validate credit eligibility and compliance.
- Manage Clean Technology Investment Tax Credit process
- Manage multiple funding streams, including grants, loans, and private investments, ensuring timely and accurate allocation.
- Prepare and present reports to stakeholders on funding utilization and performance metrics.
- Establish and maintain relationships with funding agencies, lenders, and investors.
- Complete analysis of the actual spend relative to the budget
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Generate comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders, detailing project progress and financial status.
- 2-4 years of experience in a project financial administration or a related role
- Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- Proficient in financial software and tools
- Highly detailed & analytical
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to make decisions and adapt to changing circumstances
- Easily motivated and can execute tasks independently
- Understanding of Funding Applications and Investment Tax Credits
- Collaborative working style
