Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President, Sales to lead and manage our sales efforts across the West Coast for our cutting-edge SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) solutions. This leadership role involves overseeing a high-performing sales team, driving strategic sales initiatives, and achieving revenue goals within the territory. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales management expertise, a proven track record in building and leading teams, and a deep understanding of network security, cloud, and connectivity solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales targets. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement regional sales strategies to drive growth, penetrate new markets, and expand the customer base.
- Performance Management: Set clear performance metrics for the sales team and regularly evaluate their progress through performance reviews and KPI tracking.
- Pipeline Oversight: Monitor and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring accuracy in forecasting and alignment with company objectives.
- Customer Relationship Oversight: Support sales representatives in building and maintaining strong relationships with key enterprise customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product management, and customer success teams to align sales strategies with product offerings and market positioning.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies to provide strategic direction and adapt sales tactics as needed.
- Sales Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership on sales performance, team progress, and market insights.
- Experience: 7+ years of sales experience in network security, cloud, or telecommunications industries, with at least 5 years in sales management.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and motivate a high-performing sales team.
- SASE Knowledge: Strong understanding of SASE solutions, including SD-WAN, Zero Trust, secure internet access, and cloud security.
- Proven Track Record: History of achieving and exceeding team revenue targets and strategic sales goals.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with technical sales processes and the ability to discuss and present solutions effectively to diverse audiences.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot for sales tracking and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed sales teams.
- Knowledge of cloud service providers and security certifications.
