ABOUT THE ROLE | Te tūranga mahi The Multi Cargo team play a vital role within our Port, and we are excited to announce a newly created opportunity for an Operations Specialist. This position will be responsible for coordinating transactional operations, both electronically and physically, ensuring smooth and efficient processes. This includes:
- Monitoring the safe operations across Multi Cargo.
- Monitoring and maximising land capacity and wharf cargo storage spaces and sheds.
- Processing Multi Cargo operating system transactions.
- Keeping accurate records of all ship and cargo movements.
- Processing and billing all cargo movements.
- Supporting the Manager and team with day-to-day operational procedures.
- Practical operational experience, ideally with exposure to moving plant and equipment.
- Experience developing safety improvements and risk assessments.
- Great Customer Service skills with a passion for success.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ability to adopt and use new software.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of Multi-Cargo operations.
- A full class one drivers' licence.
- Fire warden and first aid training is a bonus along with regulatory bodies such as MPI or Customs NZ.
