VP, Front Office Software & L2 Support Engineer (Java & JVM), Financial Markets/ Trading, Banking Location: Charterhouse Partnership, Singapore Job Type: Hybrid, Permanent, Highly Competitive Responsibilities: Deliver quality software, including end-to-end design, development, and support of large-scale data processing systems built on Java tech stack. Write robust code along with accompanying test suites, ensuring clarity and articulation of implementations. Provide technical solutions to support the bank’s Financial Markets business and other projects such as regulatory books of work. Collaborate with global teams including business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders across multiple locations. Liaise with Front Office, Middle Office, and various functions to gather requirements and design smart, scalable solutions. Coordinate with other teams in Technology to provide second line support. Minimum Requirements: 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience, preferably in investment banking/Financial Markets/Trading environment. Experience with Java 17, Multi-Threading, and Performance tuning in JVM. Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms. Java Restful API design and development. Experience with distributed caches like Hazelcast/Redis/Memcached. Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps, with SCRUM and Agile experience. Good to Have: Development experience in functional programming, such as Haskell/Scala or others. Spring Boot and Integration experience.
