Assistant Director of Nursing

Akeso Healthsearch is a leading nursing and healthcare recruitment agency. We work in partnership with both public and private hospitals, as well as in semi-acute facilities, paediatric homecare, residential services, and practice nursing. On behalf of our client, we are seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to join a Nursing Home in Cork.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure high standards of nursing care.
2. Supervise and mentor CNMs, nurses, and care assistants, providing ongoing education and professional development.
3. Conduct and monitor clinical, environmental, and medication audits, ensuring action plans are implemented.
4. Manage patient-centered interactions, resolving complaints and liaising with families and the multidisciplinary team.
5. Support day-to-day operations at the nursing home in collaboration with the DON, ensuring high-quality clinical practices.

Requirements:

1. Registered Nurse with active registration on the NMBI.
2. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a management role.
3. Post registration qualification in gerontology and/or dementia care is highly desirable.
4. Eligible to work in Ireland.
5. Strong decision-making ability and motivation to foster a team environment.
6. Commitment to continuous professional development.
