Schedule: Hybrid role with 4 days in the office for the first 3 months to integrate with the team. Afterward, a flexible mix of office and remote work is available. Occasional international travel (3-4 times annually) for commissioning projects will be required. Role Overview As an Automation & Commissioning Engineer , you will focus on integrating, testing, and commissioning advanced automation systems for vapor compression distillation equipment and other water treatment solutions. You will work closely with US and Asia operations , aligning automation solutions to client requirements. This hybrid role offers a mix of office-based and remote work, but for the first three months , you will work primarily from the office to integrate with the existing team and gain a solid understanding of the systems and workflows. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Developing automation systems for DeltaV , Siemens , and Allen Bradley PLCs , ensuring seamless integration.
- Travelling internationally (3-4 times annually) to commission and validate automation coding to meet client specifications.
- Ensuring compliance with GMP and FDA validation standards.
- Develop, configure, and optimise PLC/HMI programs for DeltaV , Siemens , and Allen Bradley systems .
- Ensure systems are integrated and aligned with client-specific requirements.
- Perform onsite commissioning internationally, including setting up, testing, and optimising automation systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in US, Asia, and client locations to deliver tailored solutions.
- Create detailed reports and documentation to support validation and client acceptance.
- Work closely with the engineering team and global counterparts to share insights and solutions.
- Provide training and support to clients to ensure long-term system reliability.
- Support validation activities, ensuring compliance with GMP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Document commissioning and validation protocols, ensuring all systems are audit-ready.
- Degree/Diploma in Automation, Electrical, or Control Systems Engineering (or related fields).
- Hands-on experience with DeltaV , Siemens , and Allen Bradley PLC systems .
- Proven track record in automation system integration and onsite commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of GMP and FDA validation requirements.
- Ability to decode and interpret complex electrical diagrams.
- Willingness to travel internationally (3-4 times annually).
- Experience working in regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences.
- Familiarity with SCADA and HMI programming.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, and heat exchangers.
- Hybrid work model after the first three months of office-based integration.
