Responsibilities Manage interface between Leighton Asia's Electrical/Structural Engineers and Civil design consultants. Liaise with subcontractors to ensure the job is constructed to the drawings and customer requirements. Attend meetings with clients, taking a lead role on items like bulk earthworks and civil works. Liaise with clients on all technical aspects of the project. Ensure that the survey of installations throughout the project is conducted professionally, with all results reviewed and accepted as correct, with actions coordinated and documented. Verification of all subcontractor earthworks and civil works quantities for progress claims. Assist the Project Manager with compliance to the documentation required under Leighton's Management System. Review and plan the project with the Project Manager to ensure technical aspects of the job are clear and to become familiar with contractual arrangements made with the client. Liaise with the Construction Manager to ensure the job is on schedule. Provide a focal point for all technical queries for associated subcontractors/suppliers. Provide engineering advice for subcontractors/suppliers. Liaise with the Project Manager and the Project Planner regarding schedule issues and status of activities. Prepare with the Quality Manager all Inspection and Test Plans and associated Project Specific Procedures. Ensure that the quality requirements of the client are adhered to and that company procedures are followed. Assist the Project Manager with all procurement and purchases of goods and services. Assessment of risks and hazards involved in tasks, and methods to manage the hazards to prevent incidents, injury, and damage. Assist the Project Manager in preparation of monthly reports and attend the monthly report meetings with the client. Prepare and circulate the minutes of the monthly meeting with the client. Responsibilities as per Work Health Safety Training Needs Analysis Matrix. Propose creation and/or modification of HSSE documents within management to ensure compliance with all record-keeping requirements. Undertake any adhoc projects, initiatives, or tasks as directed by the Construction Manager. Safety Undertake all responsibilities in a safe manner. Ensure a safe working condition is present for all employees, contractors, and visitors. Participate in daily pre-start meetings. Use appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems such as job safety analysis, pre-work checklists, and risk assessments. Comply and have input into safe working procedures. Report hazards, incidents, and accidents within company guidelines. Assist with safety sections for reports, tenders, and proposals. Actively participate in safety training. Job Requirements Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural/Building). AS 9001 Quality Systems knowledge. Minimum 5 Years’ Experience in project-related disciplines. Strong communication skills (oral & written), including strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally. Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and prioritize demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines, and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
