MANAGER TECHNICAL TRAINING
Job details
To ensure execution of the training activities of Gulf Air in accordance with the civil aviation standards, related company regulations & procedures; To ensure the determination of the training needs of the technical staff. To coordinate internship activities within the company following the trainees’ performances.
MAIN DUTIES
- Ensure Technical Training utilizes the latest industry training methodology and delivery platforms to provide effective, accessible, and efficient results.
- Manage administratively and technically the technical training aimed to develop mechanics, trainee engineers, and apprenticeship programs.
- Represent (nominate) Gulf Air at seminars involving technical and compliance training.
- Contribute and be part of the selection committee of apprentice and trainee engineers.
- Ensure that the equipment, components, and materials intended to be used for training comply with Part-147 requirements.
- Ensure standard practices and procedures derived from approved sources for use within the division and keep them up to date.
- Liaise with Maintenance managers in assessing the training programs and needs to accommodate qualified manpower requirements and make the necessary recommendations and control the list of staff attending such training.
- Carry out any other tasks or duties assigned by the SMTQ.
- Contribute to the development of the Technical Services division development, business plan, and program that will support and deliver the GF Technical Training Strategy.
- Ensure all technical certifying staff in the division receive the mandatory and recommended technical training by both the regulatory authority and Gulf Air Quality Assurance Department and control to ensure they are current.
- Motivate, guide, and encourage technical staff/trainees to apply for EASA or equivalent Exams and monitor their progress.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to staff's technical development and future opportunities resulting in effective success planning.
- Plan and conduct formal meetings with technicians, engineers & managers to ensure consistency of feedback/information and plan the most suitable training needs and best practices to be adopted for further enhancing the division in coordination with the division's line managers.
- Conduct regular assessments on training methods and materials used to ensure best practice and cost-effectiveness.
- Continually assess processes and procedures within the Technical Training Department in liaison with maintenance managers to ensure best practices are being enforced.
- Generate reports on all aspects of staff training technical performance, training needs, and methods of training to enhance technical staff knowledge and statistics of the division's technical training development and future needs.
- Responsible for subordinates' KPIs and required to complete all stages of the performance management system.
EDUCATION
University degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.EXPERIENCE
Minimum 7 years as an approved License Engineer.About Application Process
