Managing Director Dynamic Renewable Energy & Heating Specialist Six Figure Salary + Package + 7 Figure Wealth Creation Opportunity Portsmouth/Hybrid Our client is an innovative and dynamic renewable and heating specialist delivering a first-class solution and service to their consumer customers whilst fulfilling social and environmental obligations for their B2B clients. Much of the company’s activities are facilitated by legislation, underpinned by long term trends & binding Government targets which is creating significant opportunities for the business. Against a backdrop of rapid growth and these commercial opportunities, the newly created role of Managing Director will be the key partner to the founder of the business and will have overarching responsibility for driving the growth activities of the business as well as fronting the business in an exit process for the shareholders in the next 18-24 months. It is expected that the new Managing Director will have a material incentive scheme to deliver such a result. The Managing Director will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, performance and development of the business and will clearly demonstrate an understanding of the need to drive insight, process and control into the business without destroying the entrepreneurial culture that has been driving growth. You will currently be working in the energy sector either in a utility or service provider with a deep understanding of a field-based workforce with aspirations to lead a high growth entrepreneurial business. You will bring energy, vision and leadership to the organisation, with a “hands-on” style to build on an established operation in terms of systems, brand and marketing, processes, controls, management reporting and people. The successful appointee must be commercially astute, with the ability and capability to work in a fast-paced, blue collar and entrepreneurially focused business. You must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of delivering business growth ideally in a B2B/B2B2C environment within energy or utilities. You will possess drive, a strong work ethic, high integrity, humility and the ability to operate at pace. You will have a low ego, high EQ with a strong presence and ability to work in this type of environment. You will be driven by running your own ship with the opportunity for personal wealth creation.
