We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Renewable Energy Project Designer to join our team in London! If you have experience in designing renewable energy projects and a passion for creating sustainable solutions, this might be the role for you. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of multiple renewable energy projects, particularly in solar and energy storage systems (BESS) .
- Ensure compliance with UK-specific regulations related to battery/solar parks: including distances to roads, voltage lines, substation dimensions, gas pipelines, land access, and more.
- Optimize plant sizing by considering land size, demographics, and other site-specific factors.
- Contribute to the development of projects from Greenfield to Brownfield , ensuring successful implementation and build readiness.
- Utilize AutoCAD, PvSyst , and other relevant tools to execute detailed project layouts and support EPC project engineering tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transfer knowledge and support colleagues, while making independent decisions in day-to-day tasks.
- 1 to 3 years of experience designing PV and BESS projects.
- Strong familiarity with UK regulations related to renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of planning processes and experience working with/for DNOs .
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PvSyst, and other project layout tools.
- Ability to work onsite at our London office .
- A proactive and independent professional who is comfortable making decisions and leading tasks.
- Someone passionate about transferring knowledge and contributing to team growth.
- An individual capable of balancing technical expertise with practical project development experience.
