- This role plays a crucial part in the development and success of LightSpeed’s brand. You will enjoy lots of autonomy and will be responsible for shaping, developing and managing our brand’s visual identity, character and voice in the crowded ISP marketplace. We need you to implement a brand strategy that is consistent across all communication channels and ensures that LightSpeed stands out.
- You must be digitally-savvy, thrive on building relationships and help shape the future of the brand by driving new and exciting means of communicating with our audience.
- You will seek out new marketing opportunities and create a brand experience that supports our company objectives.
- Identify, plan and deliver brand enhancing events in support of customer acquisition and the overall brand strategy.
- To act as a central point of contact for all Lightspeed brand marketing activities
- Responsibility for researching, developing, and implementing an effective brand strategy that addresses the company’s positioning, personality, promise, and differentiation.
- Responsible for overseeing the full range of the ATL and BTL activities including creative & product development, asset production, and media execution.
- Overseeing Always-On PR tactics to ensure media coverage of the brand in the towns we serve.
- Oversee brand marketing campaigns from ideation to execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency.
- Track and report on key metrics to measure the effectiveness of brand initiatives.
- Support the Marketing Director in influencing strategic decision making at a higher level, including but not limited to commercial objectives, social and content planning, product and technical developments, and budget.
- Proactively drive brand initiatives which challenge the current ‘way we do things’. Working with the wider marketing team to collate and communicate the brand strategy.
- Develop new and engaging marketing tactics and bring fresh ideas to the table that will differentiate LightSpeed from its competitors.
- Ensure that all brand related communications and marketing comply with advertising standards and FCA regs.
- Managing and developing a portfolio of local, regional and national events.
- Develop and oversee appropriate award entries for LightSpeed.
- Proactively and reactively manage crises that may affect the brand.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales colleagues, and external agencies, to improve brand marketing results.
- Ensure that the organisation’s brand and identity is adhered to in all internal and external communication channels.
- Collect and use data to inform new campaigns and the evaluation of existing marketing activity.
- Stay up to date on the latest digital platforms, marketing and social media trends.
- Schedule and deliver messages through an up-to-date content calendar.
- Analyse and report on the competitive landscape and industry.
- The ability to travel widely as required.
- Completion of administration duties as required.
- Provide advice and guidance to more junior members of the team as required.
- Deputise for the Marketing Director as required.
- Proven experience in senior marketing and brand management roles
- Experience in managing people
- Expertise in and a passion for social and digital marketing
- Proven ability to execute brand related projects that enhance overall brand positioning
- Experience briefing and managing agency partners
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments and teams to achieve a common goal
- Experience in identifying target audiences and devising effective campaigns
- Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix.
- Strong analytical skills partnered with a creative mind.
- Be confident, accurate and prompt at proofreading and checking all written content.
- Deadline-driven, attention to detail, organised, and able to multitask.
- Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all personnel.
- First-class communications skills, both written and verbal to deliver compelling content across various formats and to a range of stakeholders.
- Innovative and creative thinking, and the ability to initiate and manage projects.
- Ability to work effectively within a busy team and the capability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Proven self-starter
