Data Scientist – AI for Observability and IT Operations Optimization Company Background: TekRek has partnered with a 150+ person digital solutions firm that empowers businesses to focus on scaling capabilities without the burden of complex IT systems. This role would be in a newly created R&D team that’s focused on applying the newest technologies to help the company grow. It is a 2 day a week in office hybrid role. Job Description: As a core member of the Data Science team, you will:

• AI Development : Lead the design and deployment of advanced machine learning and Generative AI components for IT operations optimization, including predictive monitoring, anomaly detection, and automated incident mitigation.
• Feature Engineering : Automate feature selection and engineering processes to identify key metrics from vast datasets.
• Model Maintenance : Develop frameworks to monitor model performance, integrate business feedback, and automate retraining workflows to ensure continued accuracy and effectiveness.
• Data Pipeline Creation : Build robust pipelines for data acquisition, ensuring data quality and relevance.

Job Requirements:

• 8+ years of progressive data science experience
• Proven expertise in multivariate time-series modeling, including anomaly detection and forecasting.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning techniques (supervised and unsupervised) for optimizing system performance.
• Advanced knowledge of Python and associated libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, ARIMA, Prophet).
• Proficiency in Generative AI technologies, including vector databases and summarization tools.
