The Surgical Technologist I on the Heart Team is responsible for providing a sterile environment and assisting physicians during surgical procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires completing an accredited Surgical Technologist program or possessing extensive experience in the field, alongside maintaining current certifications such as Basic Life Support. The position offers various benefits, including a sign-on bonus, and emphasizes ongoing education and professional development. Overview: Up to $5K Sign On Bonus Compensation / Benefits
  • $19.56-$31.94/hr. depending on previous work experience.
  • Evening differential $2.00/hr.
  • Night differential $2.50/hr.
  • Weekend differential $2.50/hr.
  • Sign On Bonus paid over 1 year.

Norman Regional Surgical Services consists of 24 operating rooms, with state of the art technology. We offer services ranging from cardiac, urology, general, neuro, GYN, orthopedics, ENT and vascular access. Our scrub techs demonstrate teamwork, ensuring the sterile environment is maintained, and keeping a safe environment for our patients. We orient new scrub techs to all of our surgical areas by providing an extensive orientation with a dedicated preceptor in which scrub techs become proficient in all of our service lines.   • Provides for a sterile environment.
  • Prepares for procedure.
  • Assists the physician to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provides and maintains a safe environment for the patient and staff.
  • Responsible for personal continuing education and professional practice.
Education Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program, achieved national certification in surgical technology preferred, or five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech. Cath lab: RCIS certification preferred. Experience Must have completed accredited Surgical Technology program, or must have five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech, or LPN with one (1) year surgical tech preferred. National Certification is highly preferred.  Licensure/Certification/Registration/Professional Designation ETC Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment. If Certified Surgical Technologist must have current certification. Current Oklahoma LPN license required, if applicable. Cath lab: ALS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout duration of employment. Qualifications: Education
  • Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program, achieved national certification in surgical technology, or five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech.
Experience
  • Must have completed accredited Surgical Technology program, or must have five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech or LPN with one (1) year surgical tech preferred.
  • National Certification is highly preferred.
(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).   Licensure / Certification
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment. 
  • If Certified Surgical Technologist must have current certification.
  • Currently Oklahoma LPN license required if applicable.
