Job Title : Plaintiff Assistant/Law Clerk Job #: 16759 Job Type: Full-time, permanent Location: Burlington Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 Benefits: Excellent medical and dental benefits Remote Flexibility: Hybrid Remote flexibility Client Profile Our client, a top-tier Ontario firm is currently looking for a Plaintiff Assistant/Law Clerk. This firm has an excellent culture and a lot of career development opportunities. - Law firm specializing in Personal Injury Law, Insurance Claims, Employment Law, Immigration Law, and Family Law. - Committed to community involvement through their charitable initiatives. - Team environment based on mutual respect and work-life balance. Duties and Responsibilities: - Maintain lawyers’ calendars, appointments, and conferences; - Routes or answers routine correspondence and initiates follow-up as required; - Open/close and maintain files; - Arrange meetings, conference calls etc.; - Assist with dockets and client billing; - Maintain electronic and paper filing system; - Manage bring-forward system; - Transcribes legal documents; - Draft routine correspondence; - Maintain officefiles/records in accordance with procedures; and - Additional duties as required. Requirements: - 2+ years Plaintiff Legal Assistant experience; - Legal Assistantor Law Clerk Diploma from a recognized institution; - Knowledge of Primafact is a must; - Knowledge of legal terminology and sources of legal procedures and statutes - Excellent time management; and - Excellent organization, verbal, and written communication skills.
