We are looking for an Application Production Support to work with one of our clients, an international bank based in Montreal. CONTEXT The IT Application Production Support team is part of a dedicated Information Technology group that handles a variety of projects driven by business priorities, strategic initiatives, regulatory requirements, and the enhancement of existing applications to improve functionality and efficiency. A newly established Application Production Support team will operate from a North American platform, focusing on supporting critical applications with high-availability constraints. Its responsibilities include providing technical and functional assistance while contributing to ongoing projects and deployments. The team's performance is closely monitored by regional management, as its success is crucial to the organization. POSITION SUMMARY The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the quality of service for live applications provided to end-users by: - Diagnosing and resolving incidents - Responding to user requests - Monitoring production environments - Gaining a solid understanding of existing applications (functional and technical)- Ensuring smooth communication and transitions with teams in other time zones This role includes on-call duties to handle incidents that may occur during weekends or public holidays, as a second-level support for other locations. It involves supporting a range of applications in a cross-regional environment, operating under a follow-the-sun model. Responsibilities include Incident, Change, Problem, Service Request, and Release Management, aligned with defined Standard Operating Procedures. Candidates should be prepared to work alternating shifts as part of this global support model. Those with experience in ITIL practices and critical team initiatives, as well as interactions with Quality Control and Reporting teams to produce Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), will be prioritized. Experience with applications such as SWIFT, Cash Pooling, Bloomberg, Datawarehousing, Regulatory Reporting, or other financial and business tools is also a plus. TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE - SQL Queries: Advanced skills (Sybase T-SQL mandatory; Oracle PL/SQL is a plus)- Unix Environments: Expertise in working with Unix and shell scripting - MacOS: Experience working in MacOS environments - Programming Languages: Knowledge of C, C++, .Net, VBA, APS.Net, Java, and 4D (preferred but not mandatory)- Excel Macros: Experience is an advantage - Schedulers and Tools: Knowledge of Autosys, Control M, ETL tools (e.G., Datastage, WTX), and file transfer tools (e.G., CFT) is a plus - Cloud Computing: Familiarity is an asset - Monitoring Tools: Knowledge of Dynatrace is preferred - Domain Knowledge: Understanding of Investment Banking/Capital Markets and ITIL processes PREFERRED EXPERIENCE - A minimum of 4 years in a similar role - Strong skills in multi-disciplinary technical support as part of a team - Practical knowledge of performance and capacity management (application, database, and network levels)- Experience with automation and optimization initiatives PROFILE - Knowledge and experience in the investment services industry - Familiarity with mutual funds administration - Analytical skills for performance breakdown and attribution calculations - Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities - Client-focused, detail-oriented, and proactive - High energy and accountability - Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment OTHER - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience - Fluent English communication is essential; proficiency in French is an advantage - Hybrid position with 2-3 days on-site - Candidates must be living in Montréal or willing to relocate
