We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join our team and help drive the growth of our services within the industrial construction sector. Position Overview: As a Sales Engineer at MeadowBrook Construction, you will be a vital part of our sales and technical team, responsible for driving business growth, managing customer relationships, and promoting our services. You will work closely with both clients and internal teams to develop customized solutions for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural needs, helping customers optimize their operations. Your ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into actionable proposals will be key to your success in this role. Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development: Actively generate new leads, pursue opportunities, and expand our customer base within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
- Technical Consulting: Collaborate with clients to assess their construction and engineering needs (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural). Offer expert guidance on how our services can address their challenges and improve their systems.
- Proposal Development: Prepare accurate and competitive bids, proposals, and quotations, incorporating the technical and cost aspects of the project.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
- Project Coordination: Work with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution, from proposal to completion.
- Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and competitor offerings to ensure we remain competitive in the market.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in sales engineering or technical sales in the construction or industrial sector, particularly in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or structural services.
- Strong understanding of industrial construction practices and technical systems (HVAC systems, plumbing modifications, electrical upgrades, structural enhancements).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships, with a consultative sales approach.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.G., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites as needed.
- Experience working in the manufacturing or industrial construction sectors.
- Technical certifications related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or other relevant areas.
- Familiarity with project estimating and cost control.
