Job Title: Consultant, Communications Line of Business: Chief Data Office Transformation | Architecture and Data Location: Toronto, ON Contract: 12 months, open to extension or conversion About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Consultant, Communications Specialist to join our dynamic Enterprise Architecture and Data team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in effectively communicating complex data concepts to a diverse audience across the organization. You will develop and execute strategic communication plans to raise awareness, build understanding, and drive adoption of key initiatives within the Architecture and Data space, and across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Develop and Execute Communication Strategies:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans to effectively convey complex data concepts to a wide range of audiences, including business leaders, technical teams, and data analysts.
Content Creation:
  • Create and deliver engaging and informative content, including targeted emails, presentations, and other communication materials, to educate and inform stakeholders about data initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to understand their communication needs and ensure effective message delivery.
Internal Communications:
  • Develop and execute internal communication campaigns to raise awareness of data best practices, new technologies, and organizational initiatives.
  • Manage internal communication channels, such as intranet sites, newsletters, and internal social media platforms.
  • Facilitate engagement events and corresponding marketing materials for various groups across the organization
Change Management:
  • Support change management initiatives within the Architecture and Data space by effectively communicating the impact of new technologies and processes to stakeholders.
Measurement & Reporting:
  • Track and measure the output and effectiveness of ongoing team initiatives and communication campaigns, and make adjustments as needed to optimize impact.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate communications or a related field.
  • Understanding of full data life cycle, data management and governance concepts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and communication styles.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful communication plans and campaigns.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite; PowerPoint and ideally SharePoint building out strategy documents
  • Experience in translating complex technical information into clear and concise language for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leading large-scale events, end-to-end
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working in the consulting or financial services industry.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of data and technology concepts.
  • Experience with data visualization tools.
  • Experience with digital marketing and social media.
  • Significant experience with storytelling data at all levels of a large organization.
