This role involves preparing surfaces for painting or coating by removing rust, dirt, and old paint using abrasive blasting techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in an industrial environment. Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sandblasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare surfaces by removing rust, paint, and debris through abrasive blasting techniques.
• Inspect completed work to ensure surfaces are ready for finishing or coating.
• Perform routine maintenance on sandblasting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective equipment at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in sandblasting or a related field is an asset.
• Familiarity with sandblasting equipment and techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high-quality standards.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in demanding environments.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety protocols.

• Certification in abrasive blasting or a related trade.
• Knowledge of surface preparation standards and coating requirements.
• Experience working with industrial coatings or painting.
