PURNELL Real Estate is seeking a diligent people-focused Head of Property Management to join our friendly team and work closely with the Managing Directors while overseeing a small team. PURNELL Real Estate, established in Kingston in 1987, is one of Canberra's oldest family-run real estate agencies in the ACT. We have a vacancy for a Head of Property Management to manage a tidy portfolio of residential properties located predominantly in the Inner South. A long and detailed handover will be available with the outgoing Property Manager, providing our successful applicant with a smooth and supported start. The successful applicant will ideally have people management experience and Real Estate acumen to oversee the day-to-day management of a tidy portfolio of 150 – 170 properties supported by a dedicated leasing consultant, experienced trust accountant team, and excellent admin staff. They will be well-presented, articulate, mature, and possess a high level of interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability. A working knowledge of Property Me or equivalent software is highly desirable. Working hours are 9-5pm Monday to Friday (with NO Saturdays promoting work / life balance). We offer a friendly office environment with supportive directors and a cohesive team. Our office is centrally located in Kingston. Job Tasks and Responsibilities We are looking for a meticulous and efficient individual whose duties will include: Management of a small team of Property Managers Flexibility to implement processes and procedures Arrears management as required Autonomy to manage a small portfolio to your strengths Skills and Experience Current ACT Real Estate registration or license and current NSW Real Estate registration or license or willingness to obtain mutual recognition. Current Driver’s License Immaculate presentation Proven ability to prioritise a range of demands, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy in a high-volume work environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Excellent grammar and spelling skills Understanding of and ability to apply occupational health and safety principles Salary package of $90,000 - $110,000 which will be tailored to match experience.
