Jasmax is seeking a talented P&C Coordinator to join its Auckland studio on an 11-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. Jasmax is a leading, multi-award-winning architecture and design practice with studios across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia. With over 230 staff members, the practice offers multi-disciplinary expertise and integrated design solutions across architecture, interior design, urban design and landscape architecture. For 60 years, Jasmax has worked at the forefront of bicultural and sustainable design in the Pacific.

The role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced P&C Coordinator. The role supports the business by coordinating and managing HR administration and supporting our wider team.
  • Managing the on-boarding and induction process for new starters
  • Manage personal files and paperwork
  • Support the Payroll Officer by checking the weekly payroll
  • Provide first-level generalist P&C support and advice to all people at Jasmax
  • Support our Graduates pathway to registration through regular meetings and support
  • Manage all P&C correspondence and champion internal communications via the intranet
  • Support the P&C Lead with the remuneration review process
  • Manage all P&C administration in the HRIS software
  • Maintain data integrity
  • Support talent acquisition with graduate and intern programmes

What you bring:

The successful candidate will have 2 years or more of experience in generalist HR. Working knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation is required. It would be advantageous if this included Australia as well. The role requires advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel. It also requires demonstrating an ability to present complex information in a palatable manner. This role will suit someone with a logical mind capable of problem-solving. We are looking for an administratively strong person who will provide a safe pair of hands through our annual schedule of work. We are a close-knit team, so establishing connected relationships with others is important. A confident and engaging communication style and an empathic approach will help create trust and respect.
