Job Description
This is a remote position. Job Highlights:- Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm Eastern (10:00 PM to 7:00 AM Manila Time) with an hour unpaid break
- Application Review: Assess and analyze mortgage applications to determine client eligibility and creditworthiness.
- Documentation Verification: Ensure accuracy and completeness in application documents and verify client information to comply with industry standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain an understanding of Canadian mortgage regulations, with a focus on Ontario requirements, to ensure all loan decisions meet legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients and team members, both in writing and verbally, to facilitate the mortgage approval process.
- Calendar and Meeting Coordination: Schedule and manage appointments, coordinate meetings, and assist with other organizational tasks as needed.
- Data Management: Accurately input and maintain client records within the CRM software and other virtual tools, ensuring all data is up-to-date and precise.
- Decision Documentation: Document underwriting decisions thoroughly and track outcomes to support risk management and compliance.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry changes, mortgage underwriting standards, and any software or tools used in the underwriting process. Participate in ongoing training as needed.
Requirements
- Experience: Prior mortgage industry experience is preferred, but not required. Candidates should have a willingness to learn mortgage lending processes.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to perform detailed financial analyses and assess client creditworthiness.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in reviewing and processing documentation to ensure accuracy in loan decisions.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Canadian mortgage regulations, particularly in Ontario, is an asset. Training will be provided.
- Tech Proficiency: Comfortable with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual collaboration tools.
- Communication Skills: Proficient in English, both written and verbal, for effective client and team communication.
- Organizational Abilities: Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage calendars, coordinate meetings, and handle documentation efficiently.
- Availability: Must be available to work during Ontario business hours or have overlapping availability.
