Senior Mechanical Engineer We are looking for a motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and improve the performance and reliability of mechanical systems, while providing leadership and guidance to the engineering team. This role involves working on all stages of product development from design through to maturation, ensuring solutions are reliable and meet performance requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop complete mechanical system design solutions, including verification and validation.
- Mentor and coach other engineers within the team.
- Support product and process initiatives from design through to maturity.
- Integrate electromechanical sub-assemblies into complex systems, including fluidics, optics, sensing, electronics, and software.
- Problem-solve using a structured, analytical approach.
- Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., CFD, FEA) for design maturity and characterization.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, applicable standards, and material properties.
- Experience with supplier and manufacturing fabrication processes (e.g., moulding, machining, casting).
- Familiarity with control systems engineering (e.g., motor tuning, PID control).
- Knowledge of safety standards, including the Machinery Directive and CE Marking.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field, with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong CAD modeling skills and understanding of tolerance stack-ups.
- Expertise in mechanical, electromechanical, and systems design, for both products and manufacturing fixtures.
- Proactive in delivering solutions quickly while collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Proven track record of ownership and responsibility in delivering solutions from concept to implementation.
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
