Your new company Your new company is an industry leader in precision engineering and mechanics in both the domestic and European markets. Having originally been founded in the 1980's in Galway, the company has gone from strength to strength, experiencing exponential growth in terms of size and scale culminating in the opening of a world-class production facility just over 10 years ago. Boasting some of the world's most cutting-edge equipment, the company services industries such as aerospace and medical device while priding itself on a culture of innovation and excellence. It is an exciting time to join the company as they have recently received investment with accelerated growth forecast over the coming months and years. Your new role Our client is now looking for a highly experienced finance leader to join their team and manage the finance functions across sites in both Galway and Limerick. You will have oversight over all financial reporting with an experienced team handling most of the GL and month-end duties. You will be tasked with ensuring there are strong financial controls and processes in place and that all systems are optimised to maximum effect. In addition, you will also act as a business partner to both General Managers across the two sites. You will have significant decision-making power and the autonomy to suggest and implement changes as you see fit. The role is perfect for someone who has an interest in having a powerful influence on the commercial and strategic vision of a high-growth, manufacturing company. What you'll need to succeed You must be a fully qualified accountant with at least 5 years PQE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA). Strong technical accounting knowledge is absolutely essential with group reporting experience a plus. Although the company is flexible on the background of candidates, a good working knowledge of cost accounting and experience in a similar position within the manufacturing industry are advantageous. The candidate must display a strong and proactive personality with a solutions-first, analytical mindset. You will also have a passion for achieving operational and commercial excellence and display an aptitude for strategic decision-making. Strong communication skills, both written and interpersonal, are a must as well as strong analytical skills. What you'll get in return You will receive a very competitive starting salary of between €80,000-€100,000. In addition, you will receive healthcare, pension and a hybrid working option with entitlement to work from home a couple of days per week. There is ample room for progression in the role as the company is part of a wider European network and as the company grows, the position within the Group will grow also. This is an extremely exciting opportunity for someone looking to elevate their career and get involved in every aspect of the commercial, strategic and operational success of a high-growth business.
