Senior Accountant Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to support our finance team's growth. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Key Responsibilities:
- Review and prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP guidelines.
- Oversight of daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll management.
- Coordinate tax return preparation and ensure timely submissions.
- Maintain oversight of financial transactions and provide regular reports for senior management.
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of effective accounting policies and procedures.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze variances and provide actionable insights for cost control.
- Partner with external auditors during audits, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff members.
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts to inform strategic planning decisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or ACCA certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
